A 34-year-old jockey has died after falling off a horse during a race in Western Victoria on Monday afternoon.
Mr Holland was about 200 metres from the finish line during the day’s opening race when he fell from the horse and was critically injured about 1.30pm.

“Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the death of a jockey in Donald on 24 April,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said in a statement.“He was worked on by paramedics but sadly died at the scene. Work Safe have been notified and will investigate. The death is not being treated as suspicious."
