More households across Victoria are set to benefit from the broadening of the state government’s $1.3 billion Solar Homes Program.
The scheme aims to bring down rising energy bills for Victorians, while also encouraging homes to transition to renewables to assist with reaching the state’s ambitious targets.
Ms D’Ambrosio said the increase will allow a further 10,000 households to access “rebates and loans” to encourage uptake of renewable energy technology. "To achieve our nation-leading renewable energy target of 95 per cent by 2035, we’re helping Victorian households transition to running on renewable energy.”
