Activist lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, on Wednesday, said officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, involved in the N15 million bribe allegation by crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky should be sacked and prosecuted. Adeyanju said probing the allegation was crucial in combating corruption and upholding the rule of law.

In a statement he signed, the activist commended the anti-graft agency for opting to probe the allegation. In a viral audio leaked by VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky claimed that the money was paid to EFCC officials to drop the money laundering charges against him. Bobrisky also claimed that his godfather ensured that he didn't serve his six-month jail term in Kirikiri prison. But, the crossdresser denied the allegation, saying the leaked audio was fake.

'The allegations, which involve the collection of N15 million to drop money laundering charges, are serious and deserve thorough attention. 'The EFCC's prompt response demonstrates its probable commitment to integrity and professionalism. I urge the Commission to ensure a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators to book if found guilty. 'This will reinforce the public's trust in the EFCC's mandate to fight corruption.
