Family and friends of Celine Cremer are desperately trying to track down the Belgium woman from the other side of the world after she went missing in Tasmania more than a week ago.
The Belgium woman has been travelling around Tasmania and is understood to have made plans to visit Victoria on June 31.
Her vehicle registration number is E40TF which police and Ms Cremer's sister Amelia confirmed were a match. Speaking to the media on Wednesday afternoon, Inspector Anthea Maingay said current indications suggest Ms Cremer was travelling alone before plans to head to the mainland. "At this stage it's looking like she is just lost. There's nothing else that indicates there's anything else involved in this point of time," she said.
Police and rescue crews are searching the Philosopher Falls Track area in Waratah, north west of Tasmania where Celine Cremer was last seen. Picture: Tasmania Police"We no longer have sign of life of my sister Cé Crmr Wber as of June 16, 2023. Breaking news, she was on a road trip to Tasmania before joining Melbourne via Ferry on June 21, 2023 aboard her vehicle ," she wrote. "Please share this post widely and help us find her.
"His sister Amélie updates the research publication with verified information and especially do not consult the Belgian press that publishes anything and false information and contact us for reports that will bring nothing."
