Recently, there's been rage on the internet in pertaining to KK Super Mart being slammed by netizens for their irresponsibility in distributing socks with 'Allah' inscription on it. Just yesterday, a local shoe company, Vern Holdings Sdn Bhd. has found itself embroiled in a contentious controversy surrounding the production of shoes which included a logo that resembled the word “Allah” in Arabic.
In response to the mounting pressure, the shoe company issued a public apology, acknowledging their unintended offense caused by their design. Vern Holdings Sdn Bhd stated they are regretful for any distress caused, and are committed to take remedial measures to further rectify the situation.
