A street food vendor in Malaysia was fined RM3,000 for posting offensive content about the King on X (formerly Twitter). The court also sentenced him to six months in prison if he fails to pay the fine.

Judge Hazeelia Muhammad also ordered the accused, Zaidi Mat Sah, 56, to be sentenced to six months in prison if he failed to pay the fine. Zaidi was charged with committing the act at a house around Jalan Sutera Kuning 2, Taman Sutera, Johor Bahru at 5.45 am on December 29, 2024. Zaidi Insulted the King 'No Money' According to the charge sheet, Zaidi was charged with making a post on the X platform through the account BitZ@zatocent, where the statement was insulting to YDPA.
