Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman’s new short-form mobile streaming platform Quibi put its stake in the Park City snow with a strong presence at the Sundance Film Festival. Veena Sud and Kaitlin Olson stopped by the Deadline Studio to talk about their projects with Quibi and how it’s changing storytelling.opposite Will Forte, she was excited when the project and platform came along and didn’t think there was anything negative about it.
she was excited about how the new platform interacts with the viewers and gives the audience a new kind of storytelling experience. “What fascinated me about Quibi was the opportunity to create radically different content for a radically different platform so it’s not just portable media,” said Sud adding that it’s media that interacts differently with our brains.
She continued, “We live in the golden age of television and the screen as a presence in our lives. It’s bringing up the international I.Q. in terms of quality across the board so there’s always another challenge and there’s always another Everest… Quibi affords artists to change the parameters of my their genre.”
