GSe: it's vauxhall for a new family of high-performance electric cars being prepped by the Griffin ⚡️💪
Although Vauxhall is still being secretive about the cars that’ll wear its GSe badge, the company has been more open about the sorts of upgrades the Vauxhall GSe models will feature. Tweaks will include racy body kits and “driver-focused” suspension setups. Whether the company’s electrified powertrains will receive a hike in power to complement these upgrades remains to be confirmed, though.
GSe is a nod to Vauxhall’s old GSi performance branding, which was used on the hottest versions of its petrol-powered cars. Memorable models include the original Nova GSi, the straight-six-engined Carlton GSi and the Mk3 Astra GSi, which was fitted with the company’s legendary 2.0-litre 16-valve four-cylinder petrol engine, affectionately known as the ‘red top’ by enthusiasts.
It’s also likely that the soon-to-be-revived pure-electric Vauxhall Manta will feature the firm’s GSe badge, giving Vauxhall a direct competitor for the
