Politicians from across the board have woken up before dawn to honour fallen soldiers as tens of thousands of Australians commemorate Anzac Day.
Mr Albanese paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives, as well acknowledged those who fought and continue to serve the nation today, telling a crowd of thousands that Australia owes its veterans"more than just gratitude".
"And what we have created as Australians, and nurtured over generations, is something we must never take for granted." "The wearing years toil onwards, and the ways of the world are wide. But you who have left remember though these who mued love have died," the poem read.
