berlin Jepun menandatangani perjanjian bagi jaminan mendapatkan 120 juta dos untuk vaksin berpotensi mencegah Covid-19, kata kumpulan farmaseutikal Jerman BioNTech yang sedang membangunkan vaksin berkenaan dengan Pfizer.
Maklumat kewangan berkaitan perjanjian berkenaan tidak didedahkan dengan BioNTech menyatakan ia bergantung kepada tempoh ia boleh dihantar dan jumlah dos.
Namun, persetujuan yang diumumkan baru-baru ini antara kedua-dua makmal dan kerajaan Amerika Syarikat meletakkan harga 100 juta dos vaksin itu mencecah AS$2 bilion.Ketika ini, lebih 200 jenis vaksin sedang dibangunkan dengan sekitar dua dozen berada di peringkat ujian klinikal ke atas manusia. BioNTech dan Pfizer membuat keputusan untuk memajukan ujian ke atas vaksin yang dihasilkan dikenali sebagai BNT162b2.
Isnin lalu, syarikat berkenaan mengumumkan ia sudah memulakan ujian secara besar-besaran membabitkan 30,000 sukarelawan sihat. Bergantung kepada hasil dan kelulusan pihak berkuasa, Pfizer dan BioNTech menjangka untuk menghasilkan sehingga 100 juta dos menjelang akhir 2020, dan berpotensi mengeluarkan lebih 1.3 bilion dos pada hujung 2021.
