Entries for the second MTN Champs slated to hold from October 26 to 28 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, reached a record-breaking 3,958 from 103 secondary schools and 14 junior teams.
It doubles the nearly 1700 entries received for the first edition held in Benin City, Edo State, two weeks ago.
According to MoC, the three-day competition will hold at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, and collection of competition bibs for all registered schools/athletes will commence at the same venue from October 24, to confirm their participation and to remain on their event start lists. Barcelona Femeni Forward, Asisat Oshoala, Michelle Alozie, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and other invited Super Falcons stars were expected to arrive in Addis Ababa, yesterday, ahead of their Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against Ethiopia on Wednesday.
