KUALA LUMPUR: Akhbar Utusan Malaysia, mengungguli majlis Anugerah Kebangsaan Kecemerlangan Prinsip Pencegahan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan 2024, semalam.

Kemenangan kategori itu bertujuan mengiktiraf sumbangan petugas media yang memberi kerjasama dan membantu meningkatkan tahap pengurusan risiko keselamatan, kesihatan serta alam sekitar di tempat kerja. Dzulkefly berkata, Kementerian Kesihatan dengan kerjasama MiSHA akan memperkenal dasar dan program pencegahan lebih menyeluruh menerusi Inisiatif Kesihatan Paru-Paru Kebangsaan.

Katanya, pekerja dalam sektor pembuatan, pembinaan dan industri berat antara, paling terdedah kepada bahan berbahaya seperti habuk, bahan kimia dan pencemaran udara yang boleh mengakibatkan penyakit seperti paru-paru kronik, asma pekerjaan atau silikosis, jika tidak diuruskan dengan baik.
