After averaging 13.7 points per game in his first year with the Roadrunners, point guard Japhet Medor is transferring for his final season of eligibility.

Medor started 28 games as the Roadrunners' primary point guard last year, pacing the team with 13.7 points and 3.8 assists per game. He has one year of eligibility remaining after playing two seasons at Santa Fe and the 2021-22 campaign at Hillsborough College prior to joining UTSA. The Roadrunners finished 10-22 for a second straight season in 2022-23, and athletic director Lisa Campos announced in a statement last week that coach Steve Henson will return for an eighth season as he enters the final year of his contract in 2023-24.
Guard DJ Richards, UTSA's only selection to the Conference USA All-Freshman team, also announced his intention to enter the transfer portal after ranking fourth on the team with 10.9 points per game and finishing second with 4.7 rebounds per game.
