Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) successfully implemented an Internet of Things (IoT) Flood Monitoring System in Taman Masjid Tanah Ria, Masjid Tanah, Melaka. The pilot project, led by UTeM's RICE Collaboration Centre and a team of researchers, is expected to have a significant impact on the state. The system provides early flood warnings through notifications to residents and enforcement agencies via mobile applications and social media in real-time.
PETALING JAYA: Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka berjaya menjalankan projek pembangunan dan pemasangan Sistem Pemantauan Banjir di Taman Masjid Tanah Ria, Masjid Tanah, Melaka , baru-baru ini.
Katanya, sistem pemantauan itu memberikan amaran awal banjir dengan menghantar notifikasi kepada penduduk dan agensi penguatkuasaan melalui aplikasi mudah alih serta media sosial pada masa nyata. “Sistem ini dirancang pembangunannya sebagai mekanisme kawalan untuk mengurangkan risiko kerosakan harta benda dan memudahkan usaha menyelamat di kawasan yang terjejas,” katanya dalam kenyataan di sini.
