Wednesday marked the 81st anniversary of the deadly attack on Pearl Harbor. Mike Rose has lived in Utah for 18 years but was born in Hawaii and living there at the time of the attack.
More than 2,400 Americans were killed in Hawaii during a surprise attack by Japan on December 7, 1941.
He spoke to a handful of people who came out to the Fort Douglas Military Museum, on the University of Utah campus. Luckily, Duckworth says, her grandfather was out of the country at officer candidate school at the time of the attack.
