MELAKA: The Melaka Religious Department (JAIM) is looking for one 'Ustaz Din' for solemnising a marriage at Pulau Besar during the movement control order (MCO) period.

MELAKA: The Melaka Religious Department is looking for one"Ustaz Din" for solemnising a marriage at Pulau Besar during the movement control order period.

State Religious Department deputy enforcement director Akmal Nadzim Abdullah said the marriage took place on Thursday .Akmal said the ustaz and couple had violated the Islamic Family Law 2002. He said solemnisation of marriages should adhere to the state by-law and must be registered with proper documentation.The event was attended by some 20 people, who are believed to be Pulau Besar residents.
