A temporary general licence will allow time for companies who subscribe to Huawei's equipment to maintain reliability of communications networks.
WASHINGTON: The US Commerce Department may soon scale back restrictions on Huawei after this week’s blacklisting made it nearly impossible for the Chinese company to purchase goods made in the United States, a department spokeswoman said today.
The possible general license would not apply to new transactions, according to the spokeswoman, and would last for 90 days.
