"Iraqi Security Forces are leading the response and investigation," said a statement from Operation Inherent Resolve, the name of the U.S.-led mission against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. Iraqi army vehicles are seen parked near a former Kurdish military position on Oct. 13, 2017, in the northern Iraqi town of Tuz Khurmatu, near Kirkuk.
