The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) says the implicated batch may be unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of cereals containing gluten (wheat and barley)
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued an urgent food allergen alert in relation to a popular lunchtime snack sold in Lidl supermarkets throughout Ireland.
The FSAI issued the alert in relation to tubs of Deluxe Sweet Potato & Chicken Soup , which were mispacked into tubs labelled as Deluxe Sweet Potato & Chicken Soup. The presence of undeclared gluten may have implications for customers who are allergic to or intolerant of cereals containing gluten. The batch code for the affected products is September 29, 2024

Deluxe Chicken & Vegetable Soup contains cereals containing gluten , which are not declared on the label.
“The affected tubs have the correct Deluxe Chicken & Vegetable Soup lid. This may make the implicated batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of cereals containing gluten .
