The Johor Ruler said those working in the public service should also declare their assets annually as a way to curb the ownership of “extraordinary properties”. Sultan Ibrahim decreed that all civil servants in Johor should always uphold integrity in order to build the public’s trust in them.“Anyone from the public sector who lives lavishly as a result of corruption will not escape investigation from the authorities.

The Ruler noted that Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain also spoke about the same matter recently, making clear that the police force would not compromise if any policeman was involved in abuse of power or corruption.
