Mini's new interior infotainment setup packages gaming, navigation, a virtual assistant, and even a virtual dog into a funky round touchscreen.

The star of the new Cooper is the Mini Interaction Unit with a 9.5-inch circular OLED Samsung screen with 1,475 pixel resolution that is the focal point of the interior and will be standard on all the new vehicles set to launch.The round screen is easily reached by both driver and passenger. The start menu is in the center of the screen and content can be launched by swiping to the side. The lower section has fixed menu items such as navigation and media.
The system provides streaming music and video, the AirConsole gaming app that uses your phone as a wireless handheld input controller to play games when parked, and an in-car store with more Mini-developed apps.The screen has a choice of modes and can be dimmed at night. There are up to eight Experience Modes with different graphics, lighting, sounds, and drive settings—all of which apply to the optional head-up display, as well. Modes include Core, Green, Trail, and Go-Kart.
