The University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) is working with the university police regarding a sexual assault incident that occurred on Saturday, July 1, at its campus in Diliman, Quezon City. ManilaBulletin
The UPD administration has been "working with the police authorities for the immediate apprehension of the suspect and closely coordinating with the survivor to provide necessary assistance," according to a statement made public on Sunday, July 2.
It said the incident took place around 11 p.m. on Saturday, where a female student was "sexually assaulted" by unidentified perpetrators. Meanwhile, to avoid the recurrence of the unwanted event, the UPD said that "more roving security personnel and UPD police officers will be deployed in different areas on campus, especially after office hours."
