Menteri Besar Johor, Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal berkata, Kerajaan Negeri sudah meluluskan peruntukan itu dan ia akan diagihkan sebelum perayaan itu.“Cuma apabila ia membabitkan bonus kepada penjawat awam negeri, sebaiknya biarlah Setiausaha Kerajaan Johor, Datuk Azmi Rohani yang umumkan berapa jumlahnya dan bila ia akan diagihkan,” katanya.
Beliau berkata demikian ketika ditemui selepas menyertai Program Singgah Sahur Kelab Media Johor 2019 bersama lebih 50 pengamal media di negeri ini, hari ini. Pada November tahun lalu, Kerajaan Negeri bersetuju memberi bantuan khas kewangan sebanyak RM1,500 seperti yang diumumkan bekas Menteri Besar, Datuk Osman Sapian ketika Pembentangan Belanjawan Johor 2019 pada persidangan Dewan Undangan Negeri .
Daripada jumlah itu, 16,511 penjawat awam Johor termasuk yang berkhidmat di pihak berkuasa tempatan serta badan berkanun negeri masing-masing sudah menerima RM1,000 pada 2 Januari lalu. Baki RM500 lagi adalah sebagai bantuan khas kewangan sempena Hari Raya Aidilfitri kepada penjawat awam Johor dan penjawat awam Persekutuan yang dibayar gaji oleh Kerajaan Johor.
