The visitors capitulated in the face of the hosts’ powerful strike-runners, who attacked a porous defensive line at will in a 57-12 victory for the Bulls in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship. The Bulls gave Scarlets no time to settle as the men in blue hurtled upfield for one of the tries of the season, Johan Grobbelaar finishing off the first of his two tries on the night.
The Bulls struck as early as the third minute after Elrigh Louw surprised the defense off the back of a 5m scrum, before offloading to Canan Moodie out wide, with Chris Smith adding the extras.
