Timbalan Presiden Persatuan Karyawan Malaysia (Karyawan), Radhi Khalid, says most local artists lack the financial stability to contribute to the Social Security Organization (Perkeso), despite having awareness of its importance. Many artists struggle to make ends meet, relying on savings or facing debt from loans to cover expenses like housing and transportation. Khalid urges all registered artists to contribute to Perkeso for financial security in case of health issues or accidents.

Katanya, rata-rata artis boleh dikatakan tidak mampu mencarum dan mengambil perlindungan insurans untuk diri sendiri dan keluarga mereka. “Ada setengah artis yang hampir membuat pinjaman dengan ah long untuk menjelaskan bayaran pinjaman rumah dan kenderaan,” katanya ketika ditemui selepas Majlis Penyampaian Bantuan Banjir di Hospital Tumpat , di sini, semalam.
