The forecast also calls for breezy and cool conditions throughout the region.
MONTEREY — An unsettled weather pattern is expected to return to the Bay Area and Central Coast this weekend, bringing with it breezy and cool conditions, as well as isolated to scattered rain showers, according to the National Weather Service.
Starting Saturday night and continuing through early next week, daytime temperatures will be 10 to 15 degrees below average, and overnight and morning temperatures will be 5 to 10 degrees below average, the weather service said in a briefing Friday. Daytime temperatures will peak in the mid to upper 50s on the coast and the lower 60s in interior areas, and overnight temperatures will fall into the 40s near the coast and Bay shoreline and the mid to upper 30s in interior areas, according to the weather service.
The weather service said the forecast also calls for breezy winds, with gusts of 25 to 45 mph, throughout the weekend and into early next week. The conditions could make driving and boating dangerous.
