CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Many residents here expressed dismay on social media and slammed the main electricity provider in this city for a series of unscheduled power interruptions on Saturday, October 7
Service from the Cagayan Electric Power and Light Company Inc. in some parts of this city went out at least four times as of posting time – three in the morning and once in the evening – but was restored in less than 30 minutes to one hour.
The power interruption was set as the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines conducted transmission line maintenance on the Opol-Cagayan de Oro 69kV Line on October 1, 2023, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. “This has been the fourth time that the electricity has gone on and off. There were already that burned because of the went on and off,” another social media user said in post that mentioned Cepalco's official Facebook page.
