Unknown gunmen have reportedly killed Samson Omoarebokhae, a Senior Special Assistant, SSA, to the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku. DAILY POST reports that Ivy Adobo-Ebojele, the Special Adviser to the Speaker on Media disclosed this in a condolence message to the family of the deceased.

Ebojele said the Speaker's aide was killed on August 31, 2024, by unknown gunmen on his way from Ozalla in Owan West Local Government Area of the State. She said on getting the news, the Speaker immediately dispatched a delegation on a condolence visit to the family of the slain SSA.

The media aide described the deceased as one of the trusted staff of the Speaker, saying the Chief of Staff, who commiserated with the family of the late SSA, urged them to draw strength from God's promises of not leaving those mourning comfortless. 'Though it is a painful situation, we ask God in His infinite power to give the family a reason to smile again.
