Hamlin says he'll remember the way Logano raced him during the NASCAR Cup Series cutoff race that ended his championship chances.
Denny Hamlin readily admitted he enjoyed the close racing he and Xfinity 500 winner Ryan Blaney did through much of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series cutoff race at Martinsville Speedway, but he had nothing but criticism for Joey Logano who finished fifth.
“I don’t love the way the 22 was racing guys that had earned their position to race for a championship,” Hamlin said after finishing third, less than 5 seconds from a win and a place in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 this week at Phoenix. “He’s kind of knocking guys out of the way.” Logano triggered the race’s fifth caution period when he hit the back of Ty Gibbs’ Toyota and spun him in turn three on the half-mile track.
