Joanne Berger DuMound/special to cleveland.com.An officer checked a license plate on a truck at 11 a.m. Sept. 20 after he noticed it had an expired temporary tag earlier at Motel 6 in his shift. He stopped it. The driver said he knew his plate expired but he needed to go to work. He asked the officer to write a ticket so he could leave. The officer asked the driver several questions, which the driver ignored. He then asked him for his driver’s license.
