UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, has appealed to Yang di-Pertuan Agong to grant full pardon to former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, citing the validity of a Titah Addendum confirming a home detention order for Najib.

UMNO has requested Yang di-Pertuan Agong to grant full pardon to former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in accordance with the Constitution of Malaysia . UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that UMNO respects the ongoing legal process and will continue to fight for justice for Najib.

He added that the confirmation of the validity of the Titah Addendum by the Keeper of the Royal Seal of Sultan Pahang proves the truth of the supplementary affidavit supporting Najib's petition, which was filed by himself and the Menteri Besar of Pahang, Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail previously. Zahid also expressed gratitude to UMNO members and loyal supporters who have continuously provided support and prayers throughout this journey. UMNO appealed for the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's mercy, wisdom, and justice to grant full pardon to Datuk Seri Najib in accordance with His prerogative under Article 42 (1) and (2) of the Constitution of Malaysia. Earlier, the Court of Appeal granted Najib leave to challenge the home detention order for the remaining prison sentence he is facing. Prior to this, solicitor, Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, had read a portion of a letter from Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin, who is also the former Yang di-Pertuan Agong Ke-16, confirming the existence of an additional home detention order for Najib. The letter stated, 'In this regard, on behalf of the Sultan of Pahang, I hereby confirm that the said Titah Addendum is valid and genuine.'
