Umno tidak sertai Perikatan, umum Zahid Hamidi

UMNO tidak akan menyertai Perikatan Nasional tetapi akan menyokong kerajaan yang dibentuk oleh gabungan itu di Putrajaya dan beberapa negeri, kata presidennya Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. Umno tidak menyertai gabungan itu kerana mahu memperkukuhkan kerjasama politik dengan PAS dalam Muafakat Nasional dan komponen Barisan Nasional , jelasnya.
