KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 — Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin has defended his post as an Umno vice-president, while Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and Federal Territories Umno chief Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani have laid claim to the other two vice-president posts.which cited unofficial results.

Those who failed to make the cut were Law Minister Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, former Johor menteri besar Datuk Hasni Mohamad and relative unknown Mohd Yusof Musa. Previously, Merlimau assemblyman Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh won the Umno Youth chief post, defeating three other candidates.
