Ketua Pemuda Pas Perak, Mohd. Akmal Kamaruddin berkata, pertemuan yang bermula kira-kira pada pukul 8.30 malam itu membincangkan kerjasama dan hala tuju Pas dan UMNO di negeri ini.
Katanya, mesyuarat dipengerusikan bersama oleh Pesuruhjaya Pas Perak, Razman Zakaria dan Pengerusi UMNO Perak, Datuk Saarani Mohamad.“Pertemuan ini hanyalah permulaan dan akan ada lagi siri perbincangan selepas ini. “Segala perbincangan akan dimakluman kepada ahli-ahli parti di peringkat kawasan dan cawangan masing-masing,” katanya ketika dihubungi.
Pertemuan selama dua jam itu turut dihadiri Timbalan Pesuruhjaya Pas Perak, Muhammad Ismi Mat Taib; Timbalan Ketua Dewan Ulama Pas Perak, Ibrahim Zakaria; Ketua Muslimat Pas Perak, Dr. Najihatusalehah Ahmad dan beberapa pimpinan Pas yang lain. Pemimpin UMNO lain yang turut hadir termasuk Timbalan Pengerusi UMNO Perak, Datuk Hasbullah Osman; Ahli Majlis Tertinggi UMNO, Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman; bekas Menteri Besar Perak, Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abd. Kadir; Ketua Wanita UMNO Perak, Datuk Dr. Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin dan beberapa lagi pemimpin UMNO negeri. - UTUSAN ONLINE
