KUALA LUMPUR: The stage is set for Umno president Datuk.Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to address party delegates at the annual Umno general assembly here.
Ahmad Zahid, who will be delivering the presidential address, is expected to focus on Muafakat Nasional – the alliance between Umno and PAS – as the"new deal" in politics.
Ahmad Zahid, who arrived at the Putra World Trade Centre at 8.30am was ushered towards the flag-raising ceremony and inspected the guard of honour mounted by members of Umno's Youth, Wanita and Puteri wings.
