To counter Russian aggression, Ukrainian fighters have converted a Toyota Mirai's hydrogen fuel tank into an improvised explosive device.

Nothing strikes fear into the heart of an electric vehicle owner quite like the thought of a battery fire or a hydrogen tank explosion.

Reportedly, Russian troops were unsuccessful in an attack south of Vovchansk and withdrew to a combined factory overlooking the town from the north. As a result, the Ukrainians opted for ground-based transportation to deploy an explosive weighing over 440 pounds, which was constructed from a hydrogen fuel cell of a Toyota Mirai., which runs on hydrogen, gets its power by transferring H2 from a high-pressure container into a fuel cell. This cell produces electricity to operate the car’s electric motors. The tank must be strong as it must withstand the pressure equivalent to 22,500 feet underwater.
