Ukraine’s Ambassador in Canberra has outlined a list of demands for the Australian Government, as he pleaded for more assistance to defend his home country from Russia's ongoing brutal invasion.

“Australian government has committed 90 Bushmasters, they are a great help. Some of them are still on their way to Ukraine,” he said. The Bushmaster is equipped to deploy up to 10 battle ready troops and is designed to withstand landmines as well as other explosives. Defence Minister Richard Marles said the assistance Australia is providing is"really important" as the forces fighting for Ukraine had become a"citizen army" who had given up on their every day jobs and left their families to defend their country.
