The tourist was taken to the Ranau Hospital where her condition is reportedly stable.

Ranau Fire and Rescue Services Department said the mountain search and rescue team was called at 1.45pm to assist in bringing down the teenage girl who was being treated at the mountain's Panarlaban sick bay.

The spokesman said the girl was stretchered down part of the way before being piggybacked to Timpohon Gate from where she was taken to the hospital by the EMRS team. The three men Mosar team was also assisted by three mountain guides and five Kinabalu Park search and rescue rangers.
