“This decision must be respected by all parties, as the appointment of the second 5G network provider was made based on good governance, not through a direct award,” he said in the Dewan Rakyat during Question Time. “This includes contributions to the Universal Service Provision projects, such as Phase 1 of Jendela and the 4G upgrade projects, which align with MCMC’s commitment to enhancing user experience and service excellence.”
“Therefore, the decision to select U Mobile as the provider of Malaysia’s second 5G network is not in conflict with the special licence conditions for an individual licence,” he said.
