The mother of another 29-year-old killed by police is scheduled to sing “Total Praise” at the funeral for Tyre Nichols.last April, said she wanted to sing to show Nichols’s mother that she has her back.
“No one knows the exact feeling that a mother goes thorough when they have lost their child,” Rachal said. “It’s a feeling that, when you inhale and you try to exhale, you can’t quite get there.” Rachal said she was in her living room when she saw on television what had happened to Nichols. She said it took her back nine months, when she was in her garage and got a phone call.
