The girls' mother and two other women have been charged with homicide in connection with the deaths of Nicole and Jasmine Snyder.

Based on evidence obtained through interviews, Nicole Elizabeth Snyder died in 2016 at the age of 6 and her younger sister, Jasmine Jean, a year later when she was 4, arrest affidavits state.“They were like little dolls,” said Lycoming County District Attorney Ryan C. Gardner of the two young girls. Although he knew them only through pictures, he said they were “beautiful little girls.”

The girls’ remains were found in early November in shallow graves behind a trailer home along Livermore Road in Hepburn Twp., north of Williamsport.with an open count of homicide and could face the death penalty if found guilty. Mausteller was “like a dog after a bone” and the caseworker, who has not been identified, never gave up trying to locate the girls, he said.

When told the contacts would continue until the girls were located and safe, he is alleged to have said Marie Snyder, her son and Echo Butler had moved out.The following day Ronald Butler called the detective and when asked about the sisters responded they were with a friend.
