Sheriff Ed Gonalez tweeted that one person has been confirmed dead, and four others have been transported. Investigators are en route to uncover more information.
An investigation is underway after one person died and three were injured, including a 14-year-old, following a shootout in northeast Harris County on Sunday evening.
At around 3 p.m., a gray Dodge Charger pulled into an empty commercial center parking lot with three people inside. There were two young men, described as Black men, sitting in the parking lot before approaching the car and getting in, officials said. Two people who remained inside the vehicle drove themselves to the hospital and were also treated for gunshot wounds, investigators said.
