GOMBAK: Police arrested two men believed to be involved in a supermarket robbery during the movement control order (MCO).
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe said police managed to track down the first suspect, aged 30, near Taman Bersatu in Rawang following a tip-off around 9pm on Saturday .
"The suspect was seen on a motorcycle acting suspiciously and tried to flee when he noticed the police," he said. ACP Arifai said further investigations led police to the suspect's alleged accomplice in Batu 16, Rawang."He waited for the first suspect to complete the robbery before fleeing together," he said.Police also managed to retrieve about RM2,000 in cash believed to have been stolen in the robbery and seized the motorcycle that was allegedly used to commit the crime.
"With the arrest of these men, we believe we have solved the case," he said, adding that the video footage of the incident had gone viral on social media.Article type: free
