Two people have been hospitalised over suspected substance use at "a psychedelic bush doof festival" in regional Victoria.
Two men, aged in their 30s and 40s, were taken to Bendigo Hospital over "incidents involving suspected substance use" at the Esoteric Festival in Donald in western Victoria yesterday, according to Ambulance Victoria.Extreme heatwave to continue in Victoria and South Australia for days yet
A spokesperson from Ambulance Victoria said the men were assessed by hospital staff on Saturday night and both were in stable conditions.Temperatures reached 39 degrees in parts of Victoria yesterday, which had earlier prompted a warning from the CFA to avoid attending music festivals, including Esoteric Festival and the Pitch Music and Arts Festival south of Halls Gap.
"After close consultation with Buloke Shire Council and Local authorities we have the go ahead to plan for our next event in 2024," they said.
