Police said the 39-year-old was transported to Royal Darwin Hospital with serious injuries, where he is currently in a stable condition. The 33-year-old left the scene but was later picked up by a St John Ambulance crew, according to police.The police statement said the 29-year-old female driver of the vehicle involved had stopped at the scene and called emergency services.Investigating police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them., with the most recent data showing pedestrians are more than five and a half times more likely to die in a crash in the territory compared to the national average.
