Two men died Saturday night after being shot near 14th Street and Girard Street NW.
Two men were shot and killed in D.C.’s Columbia Heights neighborhood on Saturday night, police said.
At about 10 p.m., officers responding to a report of a shooting found a man with gunshot wounds lying unconscious and not breathing on the 1400 block of Girard Street NW, police spokeswoman Sgt. Kristina Saunders said in a statement. About a block away on Fairmont Street NW, police found a second man suffering from gunshot wounds who was also unconscious and not breathing.D.C. fire and EMS responded to the scene, but despite attempting lifesaving measures, both victims died, Saunders said.
Witnesses reported seeing a Black man in a white T-shirt leave the area in a black sedan around the time of the shooting, police said. Police had not identified a suspect or released additional information about the identity of the victims as of early Sunday afternoon.
