A two-car collision in Alor Setar, Malaysia, resulted in two fatalities and two serious injuries. The accident occurred on Tuesday night, leaving one male victim dead at the scene and another female victim ejected from her vehicle. Two other men sustained serious injuries.
ALOR SETAR : Two people were killed, and two others were seriously injured in an accident involving two cars near the U-turn on Jalan Lencongan Barat here Tuesday night. In the incident, which occurred at around 8:50pm, a man died at the scene, with his body thrown onto the roof of a car. Another victim, a woman, was flung onto the road after being ejected from the vehicle and was also pronounced dead.
The crash left two other men with serious injuries, while the driver of one of the cars sustained minor injuries. A witness, Raja Asmah Raja Jaafar, 42, a food stall operator, said she heard a loud crash and rushed to the scene, which was about 50 metres in front of her stall. 'I saw one victim on the roadside and two others on the road, while one was on the roof of the car. 'All four of them were visible... two of them were lying motionless, while the victim on the road initially sat up but then lay down again. Meanwhile, the Operations Commander from the Jalan Raja Fire and Rescue Station, Senior Fire Officer II Salim Abdul Razak, said they received a call about the accident at 8:53pm. 'Upon arriving at the scene, we found that the accident involved two cars. There were four victims, two of whom were confirmed dead at the scene. 'The two seriously injured victims were transported to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital by ambulance,' he said after concluding the operation
