A fatal road accident occurred on the Jalan Sagil – Jementah near Estate Gunung Ledang in Tangkak last night, resulting in two deaths and five injuries. The accident, believed to have happened around 9:40 pm, involved a Proton Wira and a Toyota Harrier SUV. Upon arrival, firefighters found seven victims, two deceased at the scene, and five injured. The deceased, two men aged 56, were traveling in the Proton Wira and handed over to the police for further action. Five injured victims, two passengers from the Proton Wira aged 21 and 53, and three occupants of the Toyota Harrier, were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Menurut Komander Operasi dari Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Tangkak, Penolong Penguasa Bomba Rafiah Aziz, pihak bomba menerima panggilan kecemasan pada pukul 10.08 malam. “Mangsa yang maut adalah dua lelaki berusia 56 tahun yang menaiki Proton Wira dan diserahkan kepada polis untuk tindakan selanjutnya,” katanya ketika dihubungi hari ini.
