JOHOR BARU: Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) and Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI) will be getting additional medical officers soon, says Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
The Johor Mentri Besar added that the new medical officers would help ease the burden of current staff and increase service efficiency at the two public hospitals.
"In July, HSI will also be getting 60 more medical staff while 150 new medical staff will be sent to HSA," he added. He added that with the addition of this workforce at both hospitals, it will ease the burden on existing staff and increase efficiency in the wards involved. On Monday , Dr Zaliha said Johor would receive a special allocation of more than RM1.4mil and 35 medical staff members from the Health Ministry to support the shortages faced by the state’s two main hospitals.
