Two elderly women in Pahang, Malaysia, have fallen victim to online scams, losing a combined RM327,829. In the first case, a 66-year-old businesswoman was tricked by a caller impersonating a police officer who claimed there were complaints against her phone number. She was led to believe she possessed illegal items, was involved in money laundering, and had a warrant out for her arrest. The victim transferred RM83,000 from her ASB savings, RM51,000 from her Hajj savings, RM24,733 from the sale of jewelry, and RM57,442 from her bank account to a provided account. In the second case, a 62-year-old retired teacher lost RM111,653 after receiving a message claiming she had outstanding credit card payments. The suspect instructed her to call a provided number and falsely stated she had applied for a credit card and made purchases of RM4,778. Despite her denial, she was pressured to contact a BNM officer and subsequently transferred money to several accounts under the guise of an investigation.

Beliau berkata mangsa yang merupakan peniaga kedai runcit dan peneroka Felda itu turut diperdaya mempunyai barang terlarang, terlibat dengan aktiviti penggubahan wang haram serta satu waran tangkap telah dikeluarkan ke atasnya. “Kerana takut, mangsa mengikut semua arahan suspek memindahkan wang simpanan ASB sebanyak RM83,000, Tabung Haji , hasil jualan barang kemas ke dalam akaun tersebut selain wang dalam akaunnya itu juga lesap sebanyak RM57,442,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.
Dalam kes kedua pula, Yahaya berkata pesara guru berusia 62 tahun kerugian RM111,653 selepas terpedaya dengan mesej daripada suspek pada 14 Jan lepas, kononnya terdapat tunggakan bayaran kad kredit sebuah bank.

150 Pahang Students Complete Traditional Malay Pahang Drum Training150 primary and secondary school students from Pahang state have successfully completed a course in Traditional Malay Pahang Drumming at various locations since three years ago.
